عملکرد دمایی کوپلینگ به نوع واشر لاستیکی (واشرآب بندی) به کار رفته درآن بستگی دارد و تا دمای 100 درجه سانتیگراد به کاربرده می شود. کوپلینگ در دمای نسبتاً ثابت با حداکثر کارایی خود عمل می کند. در صورتی که اغتشاش گرمایی به وجود آید لازم است که پیچ های کوپلینگ مجدداً تنظیم گردد. بنابراین کوپلینگ در مکان هایی نظیر حرارت مرکزی با تغییرات دمایی بالا قابل استفاده نمی باشد.

Use of couplings for GRP pipes:
Couplings can be used instead of manchone to connect GRP pipes. The advantages of coupling over manchone is as follows:
When repairing or disconnecting two connected pipes in GRP pipelines, the manchone must be broken, while the coupling can be easily opened and closed due to the bolting connection.
Resin (adhesive) and fiber welding methods are used to implement GRP pipelines, but the coupling connection is used both above and under ground .The angular flexibility of the coupling is greater than the angular deflection of the manchone end.
